A bit out of the way but a beautiful spot, more of a lake than a pond, quiet no boats, clean water somewhat warm and not to crowded. Its not a beach more of a grassy area. Great spot with friends and family. No real services so bring food and drinks.
This was the first time I have been here in years. It is a pretty nice spot, however, there was a lot of dog poop along the shore line.
This park is of the beaten track and a great place to start exploring via mountain bike ride. You will need a 1-50 topo, gps and compass. The canal from black river lake is worth checking out you can ride or hike the rive bank and is interesting. I usually cook a meal and eat after, tail gate style.
No picnic tables. This is a very hard place to find unless you have a GPS or navigation system. Very out of the way. It is a lovely spot, with toilets, and a set of steps down to the waterfront...But after driving all this way...we were not happy to find no picnic tables were provided. We had looked on the province's website and this was designated as a picnic park with tables. We left here and drove to Grand Pre and had a lovely picnic there...with a picnic table!
Very nice
