This place is always busy which is a good sign. Staff are mostly pretty awesome, and the food comes out quickly considering how many people are seated. The pan fried haddock, with lentils/rice are the best I've had.
Keep out! Slow service. Shouldn't take 40 minutes to get main courses. Not suitable for familes with children
First time in Wofeville with my partner and we decided to go to Joes good food emporium for Fish&chips, usually smaller local places like this have the best. We sit down, greated by our waitress whom we didnt get the name of as she didnt introduce herself, she has a piercing in her cheek though. We place our drink order and she comes back with bad news, the fryer isnt working. We respond with do you think it will be fixed tonight, we arent in any rush? She replys with no probably not tonight. That being said, it took us over 15 minutes to choose something else and even then we just picked something at random because we didnt want to be rude and get up and leave. We receive our order, and less than 5 minutes later she brings someone fish and chips to there table! Then chicken strips and fries to the next table... usually I wouldnt even bother writing a review or even caring about this. But we ended up ordering and paying $50 for food we didnt want, when everything was clearly working fine, or in enough time to allow us to replace and order considering we made it clear we were in no rush and would WAIT. Along with that the waitress didnt even check on us until she brought the bill over. Ive been a server for over 10 years and I know that youre supposed to approach a table after the first few bites to see how everything was tasting. Overall a really bad experience. Will definitely be back to Wolfville but not that restaurant again.
Such a lovely place. Great food. Great vibe. Friendly staff and customers. Will always stop at Joe's when passing thru!
Very good food! I had the rib eye and my boyfriend had clams and chips. Both were delicious! Steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were hot and mouth watering. Very friendly staff. Lots of seating available with an upbeat vibe. Kind of a crossbreed between a pub and sports bar. Lots of items to choose from on the menu both food and drink, certainly something for everyone. Love music in the evenings Fridays . All around four star experience.
